Cubs Season Ticket Revenue Up Compared to Last Year

Crain's quoted Colin Faulkner stating that re-ups are up when compared to last year by 5%.

The author attributes this in a great part to the Combo STH's having to shell out more as there are more night games.

The "money" quote is:

"But a source close to the team said last year that close to 25,000 tickets sold per game are part of a season-ticket package — slightly higher than the lowest paid attendance figure from last season. The Cubs say they have between 7,000 and 8,000 season-ticket account holders."

This is interesting when comparing Al's from-the-left-field-bleacher guesstimates.

It would appear than, from this piece, that the current number of STH (obsessive idiots like myself) is closer to 25K than 22K which is what I previously thought.

Considering this is shaping up to be another 90+-loss team, I would say it is a remarkable feat.
