Jerry Hairston, Jr. Retires To Be A Dodger Broadcaster

Anybody who says they saw this coming is kidding themselves



Hairston spent 16 years playing for nine teams, and who knew he had aspirations to be a boradcaster? What's more puzzling that out of all the former Dodgers who might want a gig like this, it's Hairston who ends up working with Scully, Steiner, Monday, Hershiser, et al. Et al of course includes Garciaparra, also not really the first person you think about casting Dodger announcers.
