Dan Vogelbach And Reggie Golden Get Hits!

MESA, Arizona -- Thanks once again to BCB reader Eric Pauly, who's been hanging out at Fitch Park most of this spring, we have more video from Thursday afternoon's minor-league intrasquad games.

Above is Dan Vogelbach hitting a single. As noted in both my post and the comments, Vogelbach appears to have slimmed down and resembles, to some extent, Matt Stairs. Stairs had a fine major-league career after a lot of people wrote him off, in part because of his build. That might be a good sign for Vogelbach.

Here's Reggie Golden, also singling in the intrasquad game.

Golden was the Cubs' second-round pick in the 2010 draft out of Wetumpka High School in Alabama. He starred in the 2009 Under Armour All-America Game at Wrigley and the Cubs had high hopes for him. He missed almost all of 2012 with a serious leg injury, but appears healthy now. He's still just 21 years old; he'll probably start the year at Kane County, but could progress quickly.

Thanks again to Eric for the videos!
