The Cougars swept a double-header, the Smokies lose in extras and the weather is still undefeated this season.

Your choice for the BCB Minor League Player of the Month is Eric Jokisch! So you agree with the Cubs and their "official" choices. The Cubs also selected Rock Shoulders and Eric Jokisch for their minor league player and pitcher of the month award.

Iowa Cubs

Come on it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you.

They'll try to play a double-header on Sunday.

Frank Batista loaded the bases with one out in the eleventh and then gave up a single to Kyle Russell to end the game. Batista gave up one run on two hits and a walk over 1.1 innings. Batista struck out one.

Second baseman Ronald Torreyes was 2 for 5. He scored one of Tennessee's runs and knocked the other one home.
