Carlos Zambrano has reportedly signed with the Long Island Ducks of the Atlantic League. This team is full of ex-big league players like Dontrelle Willis, Vladimir Guerrero, Ben Broussard, Josh Barfield, and Ramon Castro.
Zambrano became a free agent in 2012 but nobody picked him up. In an attempt to get back in the good graces of MLB teams, he is joining the Long Island Ducks because the team is still heavily scouted.
I've always liked the guy. If he could have just harnessed all of that emotion, he may have been in the league a lot longer. I will say that he really knew how to throw a tantrum. Maybe the Atlantic League will get to enjoy some of Big Z's antics.
Enjoy this little clip of what MLB is missing.
