Rare trip to Wrigley upcoming -- ticket buying tips needed

I'm bringing my family to Chicago for Labor Day weekend and we're hoping to attend the Sunday game vs. the Phillies. It will only be my third time at the Friendly Confines and my first in over 8 years. I was hoping for some ticket buying tips. I've been watching StubHub. Does the price tend to drop as the game gets closer? Is there a "sweet spot" a week or so out where they tend to drop, or should I move quickly? There are five of us going but we're willing to split up 3 and 2 since five is a tough number to purchase. Is there a way to tell if given seats may offer a partially obstructed view? I know some have said to avoid the higher row numbers of the 200 level. The 500 level also has some obstructed seats due to the support posts, correct? I don't want to spend a fortune but given how rarely I get to Wrigley I'm willing to spend a little more for decent seats, but they don't need to be rock star seats and I'm fine being in the upper deck. Should I shoot for something in the 400s? There are a few there in my price range but most seem to be in the 500 level. Any tips for this relative Wrigley newbie are greatly appreciated!
