Anthony Rizzo must either have something on Hoyer or he is Hoyer's love interest. Why else would Hoyer haul Rizzo around from team to team? First, Hoyer trades Adrian Gonzalez to get him for the Padres. Then he trades 1st round draft pitcher Andrew Cashner to get the 6th round Rizzo from the Padres. (The Cubs are now signing every available pitcher.) Now he signs the near-rookie Rizzo who is now hitting a whopping .230 to a 7 year $41 million contract? Are you kidding me? I understand that Rizzo was performing better before the big contract but it is not a sound management decision to commit $41 mil. based upon less than a year's performance. Perhaps Rizzo has compromising photos of Hoyer? Who knows?
