Having been in town since last Wednesday, leaving tomorrow and taken in every game since Friday, one thing among many stands out. The difficulty of getting a cab after the game. I would have to think this is an age old problem for the park, and it doesn't seem anyone has ever tried to address it. If someone has, I'm obviously not aware. We've learned to walked several blacks west on Addison towards Southport, but even then it's a crapshoot flagging one down. Calling for one is futile. With tonight's game probably ending around 10:00 p.m., we're seriously considering not going tonight and enjoying other parts of town on our last night here. I'm sure locals would know the answer to this- what would be wrong with putting the start of a taxi line near the corner of Clark and Waveland on the Wrigley side of Clark facing north? Busses line up en masse on Addison facing west, so why not taxis on Clark? If this needs to be negotiated with cab companies then fine, but is there a reason that wouldn't work? Even if this is not feasible, even some place a block or two or even three away, knowing you'll get a cab, would be great.
