Here's a complete list of the Cubs' non-roster invitations to spring-training camp, broken down by position. With the 40 players officially on the Cubs' roster, that will mean 64 players in camp.
Additionally, minor league catchers Luis Flores and Will Remillard will assist at times in big league camp, most likely early in spring when there are a number of split-squad games.
So, if you've been waiting to see Baez, Bryant and Almora, in particular, here's your chance to see them play against major-league competition. Baez played during major-league spring games last year, and hit one of the longest home runs I've ever seen at the old HoHoKam Park, a blast that went over the scoreboard and six cars deep into the parking lot.
If Baez can hit the board at Cubs Park, that would be a prodigious blast. I wouldn't put anything past him -- he has tremendous power.
Pitchers and catchers officially report February 13, with position players reporting on February 19. The first full-squad workout is February 19, and the Cubs open the first season at Cubs Park in Mesa February 27 against the Diamondbacks.
