Help a Royals fan plan a trip to Wrigley Field

Hello Cubs fans.

I'm planning a May trip for 2015 with a couple of buddies (including a big Cubs fan) to see the Royals play in Wrigley Field. I've visited Wrigley once before, but I didn't have much time to plan and was only in Chicago a short time for business.

We'd really like to see the best of Chicago and the full Wrigley experience. What section of the ballpark would you recommend we purchase tickets for (we have some financial flexibility, but let's not go nuts)? What is the best way to get tickets (Stubhub? Other online brokers? Stadium scalpers?) Any other quirks or cool things we could experience at the stadium? What Wrigleyville bars would you recommend?

And what other Chicago tourist sites/bars/restaurants/music venues would you recommend for a bunch of thirty-something Kansas City guys?

We'll be using mass transit and our own two feet, so don't send us out to the burbs or anything. Thanks for your help! Looks like you guys could be in for an interesting off-season!
