Should the Cubs acquire Josh Reddick?

There have been reports out of Oakland that the A's have made some of their surplus OF's available via trade, including former Theo draft pick- Josh Reddick.

Reddick would be a platoon corner outfielder for the Cubs and fills Theo/Jed's desire to add a LH OF bat. Reddick however provides more value than his bat and is a far superior defensive player than incumbent Chris Coghlan. Reddick would best serve the Cubs as the LH compliment to a Ruggiano platoon. Despite struggling offensively in 2013, Reddick still provided a 1.0 dWAR, sandwiched by a 1.3 dWAR (2012) and a 1.2 dWAR (2014) respectively . In 2014, Reddick hit .280 vs. RH pitching, which would complement Ruggiano's .305 vs LH pitching.

Reddick is also arbitration eligible after making 2.7 mil last year with Oakland. I would expect his salary next season to be in the 5 mil range, which would hardly be a dent in the Cubs 2015 payroll, yet could price Reddick out of Oakland.

All told, I think the Cubs could acquire Reddick for fairly cheap. Here's what I would offer:

A's give up: Josh Reddick

Cubs give up: Travis Wood, Christian Villanueva

And with that, I will leave this to up to the BCB community to discuss.
