Cubs Heroes and Goats: Game 62

Baker's not worthy! Baker's not worthy! - Justin K. Aller

When it's cloudy overhead and life's got you down, who better to cheer you up than Anthony Rizzo.

He didn't make the podium, but one word for Neil Ramirez' numbers this season: gaudy.

Writer's Note: The daily selections of the three Heroes and three Goats are based solely on the top three and bottom three WPA scores for the game. The selections are not based on my subjective opinion.

THE THREE HEROES:

THE THREE GOATS:

  • Big Goat - Mike Olt (-.103). This flameout is just painful to watch. Since May 21, he's 1-for-32 with 19 strikeouts.
  • Goat - Travis Wood (-.100). Not the most effective of outings, and the early game-tying homer to Andrew McCutchen placed him on the podium.
  • Kid - Eli Whiteside (-.085). He's appeared in four games and on the Goat list three times. You can do the math.
