Bryant v Baez at AA (Subtitle: Bring up Bryant!!!)

Javier Baez '13 - 50 games, 218 AB, 20 HR, 19 BB, 69 K and 294/346/638/983

Kris Bryant '14 - 62 games, 225 AB, 21 HR, 39 BB, 70 K, and 356/461/716/1177

I am typically the voice of reason and patience. I think patience is the way to go. Little is to be gained by rushing people other than repeating previous mistakes.

BUT, Bryant is crushing AA. at minimum, he needs to be in AAA. I know we were waiting for the draft to wrap up and that's fair. The draft is done. He needs to move this week. I raised the idea this weekend and I'll repeat it now. I'd have him skip AA and go straight to MLB. I heard them saying just this weekend that Stanton made the jump. I know not a lot of guys, but a handful of guys do make that jump. I know that there is an experience difference between AA and AAA but not necessarily a huge talent difference. I believe Bryant should move straight to MLB before the end of this month. They can go to work on a long term deal for him over the off season. I know it will be harsh with Boras. The money has to be spent somewhere, might as well be on what by all available measures looks like a generational talent. I absolutely believe by continuing to keep him down, you are just wasting years of his life/career.
