The 2014 SiriusXM Futures Game will take place at Target Field in Minneapolis today at 4 pm Central time. The game matches a team of top U.S. prospects against a team of top prospects from the rest of the world. Two Cubs prospects, third baseman Kris Bryant and shortstop Javier Baez, have been selected to play in this game.
The Futures Game is the number one annual showcase of minor league talent. Of the top 100 prospects listed by MLB.com, 27 of them will play in this game. Futures Game participants usually go on to bigger things in the majors as well. This year, 28 members of the All-Star rosters are Futures Game alumni. Last season, it was 37 All-Stars.
In keeping with the Twins flavor of the All-Star festivities, former Twins manager Tom Kelly will manage the World team. His starting lineup has Bryant starting at third base and batting fourth:

Henry Owens of the Red Sox will start on the mound for the US team.
The World team will be managed by Twins broadcaster and Hall of Fame pitcher Bert Blyleven. Blyleven's lineup is as follows.
