BCB's David Sameshima was able to attend Wednesday night's game, so he has some different views from both inside and outside Wrigley Field:
My thanks to my friend Bill, who kindly invited me to Wednesday night's game. He arrived just before game time, so I was not able to take photos inside the ballpark before the game started. I did take a walk during the early innings to take some photos of the triangle lot. Unfortunately, I was looking right into the setting sun, so my selection of triangle lot photos was limited. With the new video boards, it did make it easier to fill in my scorecard to catch up on the plays that I missed when I stepped away to take photos. I posted some photos to illustrate how information is being displayed on the video boards. It was interesting to see some useful applications with the left field video board. It was Pat Hughes' birthday, so they put up some video of him in the booth. They also used the video board to post updates on the Blackhawks game.
With the Cubs not doing so well Wednesday night against Max Scherzer of the Nationals, the Blackhawks updates and highlights got the loudest ovations of the evening.
We'll have more photos here tomorrow.
