Let me try this again, since it didn't work last night:
Tonight can't be worse than last night. Right? Right?
I bring the following point up not because it makes any difference regarding winning or losing, but just out of one specific point of interest. Here are the Cubs' records wearing various road uniforms so far in 2015:
Blue alt: 4-5 CUBS alt: 1-0 Road gray: 0-0 Throwback: 1-0
I think you all already know how I feel about the blue alt jerseys (don't really like them). But the Cubs have not worn the "official" road gray -- the one with CHICAGO on the front -- at all this year. Maybe it's time to do that.
Here are today's particulars.
Cubs lineup:
Fowler CF, Coghlan LF, Rizzo 1B, Bryant 3B, Soler RF, Castro SS, Ross C, Lester P, Russell 2B
Kris Bryant is back in the cleanup spot tonight. Also, Mr. 0-for-47 Lifetime (Jon Lester) will have more opportunities to get his first MLB hit. Will he? Vote in the poll. (I'm voting "no.")
Cardinals lineup:
Bourjos CF, Carpenter 3B, Holliday LF, Reynolds 1B, Peralta SS, Molina C, Heyward RF, Kozma 2B, Lynn P

Jon Lester wasn't sharp on Opening Night against the Cardinals, nor in his next three outings. His last start, Friday against the Brewers, was excellent. The only time Lester has pitched in Busch Stadium was Game 5 of the 2013 World Series. I'd like to order up one outing like that, please.
Lance Lynn pitched the second game of 2015 against the Cubs at Wrigley Field. He threw pretty well, but Jake Arrieta was better that day. Lynn allowed only two hits and struck out nine. The Cubs will likely have to do better than that to win tonight.
Today's game is on CSN Chicago.

The 2015 Game Thread procedure has changed a bit. Here's how it will work going forward.
You'll find the game preview posted separately on the front page, two hours before game time (90 minutes for some early day games following night games).
At the same time, a StoryStream™ containing the preview will also post on the front page. The First Pitch Thread and all the overflow threads will be published in that stream, as well as the recap. The recap will also live on the front page as a separate post, and at the time I write the recap I will rename the stream "Cubs vs. (Team) (Day of Week) Game Threads" so you can go back and find every thread related to that particular game.
You will also be able to find the preview, First Pitch Thread, all the overflow threads and recap in the box marked "Chicago Cubs Game Threads" at the bottom of the front page (you can also find them in this section link). They will also appear in the game's StoryStream™ as noted above.
The First Pitch thread will post at five minutes before game time, then an overflow thread at one hour, two hours and 2:45 after the scheduled game time.
Discuss amongst yourselves.
