As much as I am a huge fan of the game, I'm not a stat junkie, hence I ask the blogisphere the following question.
When was the last time, if ever, that a major league team had multiple 20 game winners in the same year?
I ask this as I watch our Cubs begin a season in a way many of us have never seen. One in which we all hope that ends in finally winning the ultimate prize, a world championship.
With just over 10% of the season over, we've got pitchers nearly 20% of the way to 20 wins. Jake should definitely get there, Lester is on track for a great year, Lackey has got a shot at it once he settles in and we've seen a most pleasant start from Jason Hamel.
Am I just drinking too much of the Cool Aid, or is it possible we could be on the verge of seeing 2 or even 3 of our guys bring in 20 wins?.
