Trying to stay optimistic, Kane County was rained out again today. The bats were absent in Iowa and Daytona while the Smokies closer blew a save.
Brooks Raley is finding a groove in Iowa and Eric Jokisch is doing likewise in Tennessee. Daytona snaps a losing streak as Javier Baez looks like he's snapped his slump. Despite a Vogelbach HR, the Cougars fall to Peoria.

No one can still figure out how Jean Segura could steal first base. Big Papi and Neil Diamond (There's a great sitcom there) rallied the city of Boston. Both Los Angeles teams have pitching issues. The Rockies and the Royals are off to good starts.
Lots of strong pitching in the Cubs system today, but it only resulted in one win for Kane County. Rock Shoulders and Rubi Silva stay hot.
In Kane County, Rock Shoulders carried the Cougars on his, well his Shoulders as they swept the Quad Cities. The Smokies put on an offensive show for their fans to improve to 10-6 and go into first place. Daytona and Iowa are struggling.
The Cubs top two farm system teams got good starting pitching on the way to victories. Daytona got a bad start, fell behind early and never recovered.
