I hate to give Paul Sullivan credit for anything, but I've come to believe that he of all people has written the definitive article on what went wrong with the Dempster-for-Delgado trade with the Atlanta Braves -- mainly because it comes straight from Theo's mouth. Read his quotes once then read them again between the lines and it becomes pretty clear that Dempster's bullheaded insistence on going to L.A. killed what could have been a home run grand slam of a trade deadline deal. To be clear, that doesn't make Demp a bad guy in my book. Just a stubborn and misguided one at exactly the wrong time.
