I would love to see the Cubs get a high-profile GM like Epstein or Cashman. Not sure if Freidman is a good fit. I think he'd lose his mind not working on a strict budget. Haha!
Just so you don't think I'm all Ryne Sandberg, this is a good profile of Mike Quade. He does have an impressive resume and his players said great things about him. He's done a good job and does deserve consideration.
Well just a quick rehab stint before I go back on the 15 day BCB DL --- Article basically states that they are still working Colvin at first but Quade doesn't want to throw Colvin in there just yet. Could be that they are still working on some fundamentals/foot work/building confidence so that when they do put him in there he is respectable. Or it could still be that he is bad at first.
