Ohman is only adequate as a LOOGY (the difficulty of LH batters hitting him only matched by his difficulty hitting the catcher's glove)
but if Hendry can somehow find a taker for part of Eyre's salary or Scott comes down with a "bad back/elbow/etc." what's the consensus on acquiring one of the available lefties--

Damaso Marte may be expensive to trade for. Ron Mahay and CJ Wilson have ERAs in the 2s in Texas but are they really any good? Royce Ring in SD has an ERA of 3.07 but that may just be Petco? Steve Kline (uggh)?

Any thoughts?

Has anyone heard any information on whether tickets to The Police concerts July 5/6th at Wrigley will be made available to Cubs season ticket holders? I've receieved no response to my email to the Cubs directly and I seem to remember having the opportunity to buy Buffett tickets (although I passed on those). The Wrigley dates don't show up on the Ticket Master site where there is a blank for the July 5th and 6th dates.

I'm curious what BCB readers think it would take realistically for the Cubs to get Bobby Abreu, in the setting of a rumored offering from the Orioles of Erik Bedard and Jay Gibbons

Is there a realistic offer we could make not involving Lee/Ramirez/Z/Prior

Would Jerome Williams/Felix Pie and (one of Nolasco/Pinto/Hill or any other Phillies choice of an additional pitching prospect) be on a level with Bedard/Gibbons
