Poll: Cubs record through April

Okay. So, I'm sick of spring training, and I'm ready for the start of the season. With this in mind, I've been looking into the future. I think the team is going to start out a bit slow, but I'm a dedicated pessimist. Anyway, I was wondering what you all think. Let's get a sense.

By my count, the Cubs will have played 27 games by the end of April, 16 at home. I'm guessing the record is going to be 12-15 after this stretch. BCB, work it out.

poll, 2 games below .500

i post this simply to get a feel for where everyone is at. i think that the cubs are a better-than-average club (a little better anyway) and hope they will be in the race come september. i can take a devastating collapse at the end of the season; i cannot take another year of being out of it by june.

cards, carp, sore elbows...

so, thought some of you might be interested in this, and having not seen it anywhere, i offer it up. chris carpenter will miss his next start, seems he is suffering from a sore pitching elbow. now, i don't know anything else about it, but i know that the cards can't afford to have carp miss too many starts.

Trouble in the Brewers' Outfield

A link

So, I don't see this on the diary list, and I don't know if anyone here cares. Anyway, Jenkins and Mench are not happy about the prospect of splitting up playing time. Brewer fans are not pleased. Check it out over at Brew Crew Ball. So, what impact, if any, will this have on the race in the central? That is my question. Do we care? Should we care? I think the Brewers and the Cardinals are our main competition, and I think this situation could spell trouble for the Brewers. Have anything to add?
