Albert Chen at si.com says Ichiro's unhappy in Seattle:
[Ichiro] has lashed out on the team, expressing in a recent interview with a Tokyo newspaper his displeasure over the team's lack of clubhouse leadership and proper game preparation.
Welllll... I know we can't say the Cub clubhouse has actually been any different, but maybe getting a guy like this could effect change in that leadership vacuum.
He's not cheap, either -- under contract for $12.5 million this year, $13.5 million next year.
If the Cubs fail in the Furcal derby, Ichiro could solve RF and leadoff, meaning you'd have to get a power bat for CF somewhere, plus probably re-sign Nomar to play SS.
I imagine Corey Patterson would be offered in any Ichiro deal, plus pitching.
