... and so it's worth a mention, as many of us get ready to watch the Academy Awards tonight.
Last night, Halle Berry, (and hey, I'm going to justify this post as baseball-related, because Berry used to be married to David Justice) who just a couple of years ago won an Oscar for her performance in Monster's Ball, won a Razzie Award for Worst Actress for her "acting" in the execrable 2004 film Catwoman.
Most actors would avoid the Razzies like discerning Cub fans avoid He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named (you know, the human air-raid siren who screams like a Tasmanian devil), but to the astonishment of all in attendance last night in Los Angeles, Berry showed up in person to accept her award, making an amazing acceptance speech which included the following:

Good for Berry. It's rare that someone of this talent is so down-to-earth and such a good sport. And she has also realized this: there is no such thing as bad publicity. It got her mentioned here, for one thing.
