Someone Who Could Help!

The Cincinnati Reds have inexplicably designated D'Angelo Jimenez for assignment.

His numbers this year haven't been very good, but his career OBA is .352, he's got a little bit of power, can steal a base or three, can play several positions, switch-hits and he's only 27 years old.

In short, he's far better than Enrique Wilson (then again, who isn't?), and if I'm Jim Hendry I think I'd wait till the DFA period ends and after the Reds release him, pick him up, which would leave the Reds responsible for his contract (the Cubs would have to pay only the pro-rated portion of the minimum salary).

Here's a guy who could REALLY help the ballclub. Go for it.
