Open Thread: Cubs vs. Padres, Sunday 6/5

Jake Peavy was supposed to be today's Padres starter, but he's got a bacterial infection, and the Padres are expected to activate Woody Williams from the DL before the game, and he'll start instead.

Good. Peavy's very, very tough. The Cubs beat Williams up pretty good last year (8.27 ERA) and are 7-2 vs. him lifetime.

Also, word is that Mike Remlinger will be activated from the DL today and Roberto Novoa sent back to Iowa. Reaction: yawn.
