Open Thread: Cubs vs. Reds, Wednesday 7/20

New, comments

It's pouring rain here in Chicago at this hour (2:30 pm CT), which we sorely need. My tomato plants are extremely happy.

Meanwhile, tonight's Cincinnati forecast calls for more sticky conditions, which means you can watch the sweat bead up on Kerry Wood's brow.

I've been meaning to mention this for a while, but with all the trade talk, wins, etc. I haven't gotten around to it.

The following Sunday games have all had their game time changed to 7:05 pm CT for ESPN:

Sunday, 7/24 at St. Louis
Sunday, 8/7 at New York
Sunday, 8/14 vs. St. Louis at Wrigley Field
(The first two of those were originally listed as day games, the third had been listed as "TBD".)
Today's Starting Pitchers
Kerry Wood
K. Wood
vs. Aaron Harang
A. Harang
3-2 W-L 5-8
4.41 ERA 3.95
57 SO 109
20 BB 35
9 HR 9

Bad pun coming.

Let's hope the Cubs don't get Harang'd tonight.

Harang leads the Reds in: wins, innings, strikeouts, and ERA (among those with enough innings to qualify).

That's pretty sad, isn't it. Let's go get him.

Discuss amongst yourselves.
