Proving that even well-educated people can be idiots, a judge in California has ruled, in dismissing an indecent exposure charge against a California woman, that such laws apply only to men.
Superior Court Judge Robert W. Armstrong said earlier in the week that the law only mentions someone who "exposes his person."
"It's gender specific," Armstrong said.
We can only hope that an appeals court judge with a sense of humor overrules this, writes it up with one of those bemused-detachment rulings we sometimes see from judges who see the absurdity of things like this, and then calls Judge Armstrong in and asks him, "What were you thinking?"
