Interesting point that I heard yesterday on Mike Mulligan's show on 670-the score yesterday: Aramis Ramirez had a no-trade clause on his contract for this year! The source was a scout that was familiar with, and has seen his actual contract. If this is true, then all of the clamoring as to why the cubs did not trade him before the trade deadline if they believed there was any chance he would walk would be washed away! So, not only does he have the out clause to be able to walk if so desired after this year, but a no-trade clause as well? Who negotiated this, Bozo the Clown? Thoughts/reactions?
