Open Thread: Cubs vs. Pirates, Saturday 4/15, 6:05 CT

New, comments

This matchup could go just about any way. Duke handled the Cubs masterfully in 2005 -- 2-0, 2 starts, 16 IP, just one earned run. This year, Duke has one good start (for a no-decision) and one bad one, 7 earned runs allowed in 5 innings to the Dodgers.

Meanwhile, Williams was very shaky in spring training, but his last two relief outings were solid.

As Duke is lefthanded, and tomorrow's scheduled starter, Ian Snell, is not, I'd expect Jerry Hairston to get the start again tonight, even though Todd Walker went 4-for-5 on Friday. Orange Guy is 3-for-6 lifetime off Duke.
