Once again, this post is a bit early because I will be spending most of the morning and afternoon in a Directors Guild of America meeting.
Look over at the top of the right sidebar. ---------------->
With All-Star ballots now out, I think we should all make the effort to vote Michael Barrett, who is far and away the best-hitting catcher in the NL, onto the All-Star team. I've put a link to the voting page there. You can vote 25 times per day per valid e-mail address -- and as I reminded you last year, you can get an unlimited supply of valid e-mail addresses here.
Kerry Wood is to make another rookie-league start on Tuesday. If that goes well, he will likely begin his minor-league rehab at Peoria on May 7.

Rusch didn't throw very well in his last start a week ago, but he still lowered his ERA from 6.60 to 6.41. That's still not very good, but Davis has been awful this year -- especially in his last two starts, where he allowed nine earned runs to the Astros, and then walked nine Reds in a 11-0 Reds blowout last Sunday. Let us hope that continues; Davis is 4-4 lifetime vs. the Cubs with a 2.88 ERA in nine career starts.
Oh, and check out Rusch's photo -- the grin is a bit less goofy than on last year's photo. Discuss amongst yourselves.
