Open Thread: ALCS Game #7

So there's a Game Seven.

The Red Sox have had trouble with these sorts of games in the past -- they lost Game Sevens in the World Series in 1946, 1967, 1975, and 1986.

But then, they also came from a 3-1 deficit to win the 1986 ALCS (after being down to their last strike), and, of course, had the first and still only MLB comeback from a 3-0 deficit in the 2004 ALCS, after being within three outs of being swept.

So it says here that the Indians, who were leading three games to one in this ALCS, are going home. I think it's nearly impossible for the Red Sox to lose this one at Fenway.

But -- who knows? Weirder things have happened. And that is, after all, why they play the games.
