Open Thread: Cubs vs. Mariners at Las Vegas, Friday 3/30, 9:15 CT

Not a misprint -- but it feels odd, doesn't it? The Cubs, for the first time in several years, had no night games in Arizona this spring, so this will be their first foray under the lights in 2007.

Ted Lilly will face Miguel Batista. The Cubs are the "home" team tonight, as you can see by the Mediacenter listing; plenty of chances to watch/listen to our team, on WGN-TV, and both teams' flagship radio stations.

Z and the Cubs are still talking contract; I'm still thinking it gets done and announced early Monday.

You may have seen this buried in the comments earlier today, but I thought I'd bring it to the front page: MLB and inDemand are in serious negotiations on the Extra Innings package. I could make the bad pun about the talks going into extra innings, but you've probably already thought of it.

And, if you're near a computer but not near a TV, or you don't have MLB.TV or Audio, here's the MLB.com Gameday link.

Discuss amongst yourselves.

UPDATE [2007-3-30 21:04:42 by Al]: The Cubs, I have just learned, are the away team for tonight -- have updated the gameday link to reflect this.
