David sent me two photos from yesterday... the subject line on the first one was "New Usher Working Bleacher Box Section":
David added: "On Sunday, there was a new usher working the bleacher box section, Cubs Interim President John McDonough. I wonder if those in the bleacher boxes today realized the kind of VIP service they were receiving."
This was the scene outside the ballpark about 11 am, just before the gates opened. The "42" on the marquee stayed up the entire day, as opposed to the advertising that's usually there. I'd like to think the larger-than-usual pre-opening crowd was there for the Jackie Robinson ceremonies, but it was more likely there for the Lou Piniella bobblehead.
