Yesterday's game was not one we'll want to remember for a long time. But there were a couple of memorable moments. Here they are:
Ted Lilly awaits Dominic DiAngi's ceremonial pitch
Heartwarming moment on the Wrigley Field mound
Mark DeRosa should have just kept running... he might have been safe!
If what this photo shows is accurate, Lou may be facing a suspension, since it appears to show him bumping Brian Gorman.

Rick VandenHurk's full given name is "Henricus", and he actually was born in the Netherlands. That's the most interesting thing about him; he has never faced the Cubs, and in 21 total appearances (20 starts) the last season and a half has posted an ERA over 6. He did throw five no-hit innings against the Braves last Tuesday, but walked five, so if the Cubs can wait him out (he threw 94 pitches in those five innings), they should have a good day.
Jason Marquis, quite frankly, has sucked against the Marlins in his career -- 4-5, 6.88. All I can say is: Step it up today, Jason. This team needs you.

Today's first pitch thread will be up at 1:15 pm CT and the overflow comment threads at 2:30 pm and 3:30 pm CT (and let that be enough. The last two games have been too long and dragged-out, not to mention the results).
Discuss amongst yourselves.
