About four years ago, on the eve of the Cubs Convention, a BCBer made this post saying he was coming to town for the convention and asking about cool places to go while he and his wife were in town.

It seems time to update that post, with more out of towners heading here for the weekend, and also possibly making plans for trips to Wrigley Field this summer.

So, in the comments, post your ideas for places that visitors to Chicago can go when they're not at Wrigley -- restaurants, bars, tourist attractions, parks, whatever.

But more than that, I'd like some suggestions for people who live here -- where are good sports bars, bars where you can go to watch sports that aren't considered "sports bars" but have a good crowd, undiscovered neighborhood gems, things like that.

Once we get a good selection in the comments, I'll replace the listing on the right sidebar with this one -- that way we'll have both, since the original post is linked here.

Have fun with this!
