Let's see.

The Tigers have been in one World Series since 2005.

The Rangers have been in one World Series since 2005.

The Rangers have never won a World Series. The Tigers last won one in 1984. (Let's not talk too much about that one.)

Oh, heck. I don't dislike either of these teams. Whoever wins, all I want is for them to crush either the Cardinals or Brewers. If Detroit wins today -- and they did win two of three from the Rangers in a regular-season series in June in Texas -- these two will play Sunday in Game 7. If not, the Rangers go to their second straight World Series.

Game time for Rangers/Tigers: 7:05 pm CDT. Rangers lead series 3-2. TV: Fox. Announcers: Joe Buck and Tim McCarver.
