2011 BCB Blizzard Central

Obviously, there isn't any baseball scheduled today, and if there were, it would likely be cancelled in Chicago and many other cities that are going to be affected by today's massive blizzard. In addition to Chicago, baseball cities that are under today's blizzard warning are Kansas City, St. Louis, Milwaukee (hey! they've got a dome! We could play there!) and Detroit.

Dallas, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, New York and Boston are under various forms of freezing rain/ice storm warnings and advisories. So we're sharing this pain with millions of other baseball fans, all of whom -- like us -- are looking forward to the day where we can see blue skies, sunshine, green grass and baseball.

As of about 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, here's the forecast for Tuesday night, when it's supposed to be the worst:

Tonight: Snow and widespread blowing snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Some thunder is also possible. Low around 18. Wind chill values as low as -2. Very windy, with a northeast wind between 30 and 35 mph, with gusts as high as 55 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 10 to 16 inches possible.

Delightful. So, hunker down in wherever it is you hunker, and join in at BCB Blizzard Central.
