Chicago Cubs vs. Texas Rangers Preview, Thursday 3/3, 2:05 CT: Let's Move On

Regarding yesterday's incident in the dugout, perhaps the best thing about it is that it was yesterday. Mike Quade said he's going to meet with the team today, and that will, hopefully, put this in the past. If Carlos Silva isn't going to make the team, it should be as a result of his performance in spring training -- which yesterday, even discounting the first-inning errors, wasn't good -- and not because of this dust-up.

I'm more concerned about those errors. 14 errors in four games? Not good. Quade also said he's going to have Starlin Castro focus more on his defense, which is a good thing. Castro isn't even 21 yet; sometimes we forget that a lot of players with his talent level and at that age are still playing in Double-A. Meanwhile, Castro is off to a hot start with the bat, going 6-for-9 in those four games.

Carlos Zambrano will start today. No more fight jokes, please. The team has to focus on baseball from here on. Derek Holland will go for the Rangers -- they are playing a split-squad game. Most of the Rangers will be facing the Indians at Surprise.

Today's Cubs lineup:

DeWitt 2B Colvin RF Byrd CF Ramirez 3B Pena 1B Soriano LF Soto C Ojeda SS Zambrano P
