Chicago Cubs vs. Milwaukee Brewers Preview, Sunday 4/10, 1:10 CT: Rematch

I'm heading to Milwaukee this afternoon for the finale of this three-game series. The last time I went to Miller Park for a game was on a Sunday afternoon -- last September 12. The pitching matchup that day was... Yovani Gallardo vs. Casey Coleman, the same pitching matchup we'll see this afternoon. Coleman threw six credible innings that day, giving up only five hits and one run, but Gallardo and two Brewers relievers shut out the Cubs 2-0.

We will hope for a better result today. Gallardo is tough, but the Cubs still have a chance to win their second straight series, in a ballpark that Cubs teams have generally played well. It's possible the roof may be opened at Miller Park today -- temperatures in the Milwaukee area (as well as in Chicago) are supposed to be in the low 80s this afternoon.

Lineups were not in at the time I left for Milwaukee so please post them in the comments.

I mentioned Casey Coleman's good start vs. the Brewers last September 12 above. Perhaps his other outing vs. Milwaukee -- his major league debut last August 2 -- should go unmentioned. Ryan Braun is 4-for-5 lifetime vs. Coleman. No current Brewer has homered off him. Let's keep it that way.

Yovani Gallardo has thrown one of the two CG thus far in the National League (the other is by Jaime Garcia of the Cardinals) -- a two-hit shutout over the Braves in his last outing. He's making his third start of the season already. Current Cubs are hitting .233 vs. Gallardo (20-for-86). The ones who have hit him best are Geovany Soto (4-for-12, a double, a HR), Starlin Castro (4-for-9, three doubles) and Kosuke Fukudome (5-for-13, a double, two walks)

Today's game is on WGN and FSN Wisconsin. Here is the complete MLB.com Mediacenter for today.
