After his strong start for Peoria last night, Dallas Beeler got promoted all the way up to Double-A Tennessee.

Iowa Cubs
The Iowa Cubs were deafened by the Nashville Sounds (Brewers) 5-1.
Starting pitcher Alberto Cabrera and took the loss. He gave up five runs on eight hits over five innings. He walked two and struck out one.
The I-Cubs only had three hits. First baseman Scott Moore was 1 for 3 with his fifth home run of the year in the second inning.
Tennessee Smokies
The Tennessee Smokies lost to the Huntsville Stars, 7-2.
Robert Coello made his first start for the Smokies after being demoted from Iowa and he took the loss. Coello allowed three runs on eight hits over five innings. He did not walk a batter and struck out five.
Center fielder Brett Jackson hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning. It was his fifth home run this year. Jackson went 1 for 4.
First baseman Blake Lalli was 2 for 3 with a walk.
Daytona Cubs
The Daytona Cubs have cooled off as they fell again tonight to the Charlotte Stone Crabs (Rays), 10-2.
Brett Ebinger gave up four runs in the first inning and two in the second as Daytona was never really in this game. Ebinger lasted three innings and allowed six runs on seven hits. One of the six runs was unearned. Ebinger walked three and struck out one.
DH Jake Opitz was 1 for 3 with a double and a run scored. He also pitched 1.1 innings and allowed two runs on three hits, including one home run.
Peoria Chiefs
The Peoria Chiefs couldn't swim with the Great Lakes Loons (Dodgers), 4-3.
Graham Hicks had a strong start tonight, going five innings and allowing only one run on six hits. He walked one and struck out three.
Su-Ming Jung relieved Hicks and took the loss. Jung pitched three innings and allowed three runs on five hits. He walked three and struck out one.
Third baseman Greg Rohan hit a two-run home run in the first inning. Rohan now has four home runs this year. He went 1 for 4 on the night.
DH Ryan Cuneo was 2 for 4 with a double. He scored once and had one RBI.
