The Smokies hooked the Carolina Mudcats, 3-1.
Starter Brooks Raley picked up a win with a 6.2 inning start, allowing only one unearned run. Raley allowed five hits. He did not walk anyone and struck out two.
Rafael Dolis got his ninth save with a scoreless ninth. He gave up one hit. He did not walk anyone and struck out one.
Left fielder Rebel Ridling was 3 for 4 with a double and scored twice.
Daytona Cubs
The Daytona Cubs were driven down by the Tampa Yankees, 10-3.
Starter Brett Wallach got hammered for eight runs on ten hits over only 3.1 innings. He walked three and struck out two.
Second baseman Matt Cerda was 2 for 4 with a double and a run scored. Shortstop Logan Watkins was 2 for 4 with an RBI. Third baseman Dustin Harrington went 2 for 4. He scored once and batted one in.
Peoria Chiefs
In a game played at Miller Park, the Peoria Chiefs were snake bit by the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, 5-1.
Austin Kirk started and pitched four innings. He allowed three runs one six hits. He walked two and struck out four.
Center fielder Matt Szczur was 2 for 4 with a double. Right fielder Rubi Silva went 2 for 4 with a triple and a run scored.
Boise Hawks
The Boise Hawks were muddied up by the Tri-City Dust Devils, 5-3.
