These two series will be over today unless the A's and Giants win.

Buster Posey looks sad in that photo. He's going to be even sadder if the Giants don't win today's game at Cincinnati; San Francisco has to win three straight road games or go home for the winter. The Giants did have an excellent (46-35) road record during the regular season, although they lost two of three in their only visit to Cincinnati. That, though, was back in April. It's all up to Ryan Vogelsong.

Meanwhile, the Tigers will attempt to sweep the A's, as that series heads to Oakland. The A's have the same task the Giants do -- take three straight. Unlike the Giants, the A's are at home, where they were 50-31 during the regular season. The Tigers had a losing record (38-43) on the road. But then, if it does get to Game 5, they have Justin Verlander.
