It's time to think spring! The Cubs have announced their 2013 spring training schedule, and the first game is just 85 days away... that doesn't seem so long to wait, does it?
The first thing you'll notice about this schedule is... February 23? That's the earliest calendar date ever for a Cubs spring training game. That's great! Less time to wait for baseball. The reason for the extended spring schedule is the World Baseball Classic, which will take some players away from their teams for a couple of weeks.
All games through March 9 begin at 2:05 CST; Daylight Saving time begins on March 10, and all games from that day on begin at 3:05 CDT. Exceptions are noted below. I'll post the broadcast schedule when it's announced.
