Here you are, and here I am to write some things that, presumably, will entice you to pay attention to this evening's game between the Cubs and Cardinals.

Just three teams in Cubs history started worse than this year's 4-12 after 16 games. That would be the 2-14 starts of 1944 and 1997, and the 2-13 (with one tie game) of 1981.

That's pretty bad company. And few paid attention to those teams. The 1997 team drew over 2 million fans, but around this time of year they were welcoming "crowds" of around 15,000 or so. That's probably what they'll have at Wrigley Field tonight, on a chilly night when the Blackhawks are playing a game that starts an hour after the Cubs game does.

Oh, who am I kidding. Here's what you really want to see -- info on which CSN channel is carrying which game on various cable and satellite systems.

If you missed it earlier:

Stay warm tonight. And go Blackhawks.

Cubs lineup:

DeJesus RF, Barney 2B, Castro SS, Soriano LF, Baker 1B, Soto C, Johnson CF, Mather 3B, Garza P

Cardinals lineup:

Furcal ss, Schumaker cf, Holliday lf, Beltran rf, Freese 3b, Molina c, Carpenter 1b, Greene 2b, Garcia p

Matt Garza faced the Cardinals twice in 2011. One was pretty bad and the other was very good. Current Cardinals are hitting .275 against him (19-for-69) with one home run (David Freese).

Jaime Garcia made three starts against the Cubs in 2011, posted a 2.11 ERA and struck out 13 with only four walks in 21⅓ innings. Somehow, that was done despite current Cubs hitting .338 (22-for-65) against him. The Cubs have not won a game against a lefthanded starter yet this season (0-3). So why should tonight be any different?

Today's game, originally scheduled for CSN Chicago, has been moved to CSN Chicago Plus. Check your local cable system for the channel. Here is the complete MLB.com Mediacenter for today.
