Just in case you can't get enough of Starlin Castro's amazing catch from last night's game (aftermath above), here it is in motion:
(Thanks to Grant Brisbee of Baseball Nation for the GIF)
All of that plus having a chance to sweep the White Sox at the Cell for the first time since 2007. There hasn't been all that much to be interested about in this miserable season, but that ought to be enough for most of you, I'd think.
Cubs lineup:
DeJesus CF, Castro SS, LaHair 1B, Soriano DH, Clevenger C, Barney 2B, Valbuena 3B, Johnson RF, Campana LF
White Sox lineup:
De Aza CF, Beckham 2B, Dunn DH, Konerko 1B, Rios RF, Pierzynski C, Viciedo LF, Ramirez SS, Escobar 3B

Randy Wells got hit pretty hard by the White Sox last year, July 1 at Wrigley Field, allowing six runs in 6⅓ innings, including a home run by Alexei Ramirez. Overall current White Sox are 19-for-49 (.388) against Wells. Adam Dunn: seven PA, three walks, two hits, a double and a home run. Clearly, we are doomed.
Gavin Floyd's last start against the Cubs was July 3, 2011 at Wrigley Field. The Cubs won 3-1 when, of all people, Rodrigo Lopez threw seven shutout innings. Floyd is having a rough year -- he has a 10.38 ERA in his last six starts and has given up 11 home runs in his last 30⅓ innings. Perhaps we're not doomed after all.
Today's game is on WGN. It's also on CSN Chicago with the White Sox announcers.
