A.L.C.S. Game 5: Red Sox vs. Tigers, 7 p.m. CT

Just one baseball game tonight, in a series that has had three one-run games and two 1-0 games among its first four.

So the ALCS has become a best-of-three series, with one game remaining in Detroit and at least one more left in Boston.

Tonight is a rematch of the Game 1 starters, with Jon Lester facing Anibal Sanchez. Sanchez and Tigers relief pitching outdueled the Red Sox 1-0 in Game 1, giving up just one hit, but I'd think Sanchez would want to not throw 116 pitches in six innings again.

And for all that's holy, can we stop Jim Leyland from those constant trudges to the mound to get the platoon advantage? He's starting to remind me of Dale Sveum in his bullpen management. Sometimes it works (Game 4), sometimes it doesn't (Game 2). Just stop already. Maybe Sanchez can throw a complete game tonight.

If the Tigers win, the series momentum (for whatever that's worth) belongs to them, with Max Scherzer and Justin Verlander scheduled for Games 6 and 7.
