N.L.C.S. Game 6: Dodgers vs. Cardinals, 7:30 p.m. CT

The Dodgers have a very good chance of sending this series to Game 7, because they have the best starter in baseball going for them.

Ed Zurga

One of the little factoids that TBS posted during Game 5 interested me: no team in any of the sports that play seven-game postseason series has ever blown a 3 games to 1 lead in consecutive seasons.

Wouldn't it be delicious if the Cardinals became the first?

There's a chance, a real chance, and mostly because the Dodgers have Clayton Kershaw going for them. He's been the best pitcher in the major leagues this year, and his numbers have been even better in the postseason than in the regular season -- 19 postseason innings, one earned run, five walks, 23 strikeouts. He'll be hoping for better defense, because he's allowed three unearned runs in his three postseason outings.

Sure, Michael Wacha has also been awesome in his two postseason starts (14 innings, one earned run, three walks, 17 strikeouts). But the pixie fairy dust has to wear off eventually, right? Right? Right?
