A.L.C.S. Game 6: Tigers vs. Red Sox, Saturday 10/19, 7 p.m. CT

It's win-or-go-home for Detroit.

Jim Rogash

Here is a list of all the teams that have won a league championship series on the road after being down three games to two since the LCS was extended to a best-of-seven in 1985:

1991 Braves
2003 Marlins
2004 Red Sox

That's it. Just three times in almost 30 years (there have been some others who have won after being down 3-2, but they did it at home). You're probably quite familiar with one of those three occasions.

That's what faces the Tigers as Detroit attempts to even up their series at Fenway Park in Boston. The Tigers would appear to have the favorable pitching matchup, but the Red Sox had the best home record in the American League during the 2013 season.

Red Sox/Tigers game time: 7 p.m. CT. TV: Fox. Announcers: Joe Buck, Tim McCarver, Ken Rosenthal, Erin Andrews.
