There's plenty to interest us as Cubs fans as the Arizona Fall League presents its "Fall Stars Game", formerly known as the "Rising Stars Game". (Actually, I like the old name better, but ... time marches on, change happens, etc.)
Kris Bryant, Jorge Soler and Albert Almora are all on the "East" roster for this game, which will begin at 7 p.m. CT today at Surprise Stadium, which is the spring-training home of the Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers.
Here's a summary of what you'll see tonight, along with complete rosters. Two of the players for this year's game have already had brief major-league experience: Marcus Semien of the White Sox and Jeurys Familia of the Mets, and you'll likely see many of these players in the major leagues in 2014. Looking at the rosters from last year's game, you can see that quite a few of them played in the majors in 2013.
Enjoy the game. Figured you'd all like another game thread, particularly since Cubs prospects are involved. As I noted earlier today, the Mesa Solar Sox -- the team that Cubs prospects play for -- will be televised in a game against the Salt River Rafters next Tuesday, November 5 at 8 p.m. CT, also on MLB Network (as I noted earlier today, the network is carrying games from Tuesday through Saturday next week as part of a test for the new replay review system). I'll post game threads for all of those games as well.
